It’s this easy

Step 1
Design consultation
Where you will meet your biophilic designer who will understand your space (light, size, heat, etc.) and more importantly, your design preferences. To help inspire you, we will come armed with images from our gallery and even live plants so that we can really understand the look and feel that you want.

Step 2
Design presentation
Within a week, your designer will present you with their design and specification. We aim for you to be blown away immediately, but, of course, we will work with you to tweak the design until it is just right.

Step 3
Installation
We normally return to site, dependant on the plant varieties chosen and the system technicality, to install the wall around 4-6 weeks later. Your designer will pre-agree the actual time and day with you and will join the installation team making sure the process is seamless. We pride ourselves on our meticulous workmanship and treating your space with utmost respect.

Step 4
Maintenance
We offer a full maintenance program to ensure your living wall continues to thrive and flourish. Our maintenance package includes watering, feeding, trimming, and propagating.

Frequently Asked Questions
How much does a living wall cost?
We hate to say ‘it depends’ but it really does. The system used, the irrigation or lighting chosen and, of course, the planting can all impact the cost significantly. A guide price is around £500 to £800 per square meter.
Do I need planning permission for a living wall?
You’re unlikely to need any permissions for indoor living walls. For outdoor living walls, we recommend to check with your local planning authority whether or not you need planning consent. You may actually find that your local authority is very supportive of the idea due to the environmental benefits. We can help you with gaining planning permission if needed.
What maintenance does a living wall need?
To maintain your living wall in tip-top condition, regular watering and feeding is essential. It should be regularly inspected to make sure any irrigation or lighting system is working correctly, plus visual checks for signs of disease or pests on your plants. You’ll also need to prune your plants and replace old or failed plants when necessary.
What are the maintenance costs of a living wall?
It depends whether you opt for an inbuilt irrigation and feeding system. In our experience, the maintenance cost is low given it’s importance in supporting the longevity of the system and the plants in optimum health.
How long will my living wall take to be installed?
It depends on the size and technicality of the project, but generally it takes around 4 to 6 weeks for us to arrive on site for installation, and the install process generally get completed within 1-2 days. Your design consultant will keep you up-to-date with delivery and install info throughout the process. Rest assured our team are fully trained and capable, so we can deliver a smooth and seamless service.
Is my room light enough for a living wall?
During our consultation we will assess the light levels of your chosen space. We will opt for plants that thrive in the light available. If the light is insufficient then we can install artificial light which is specifically designed to support plant growth. Alternatively, a moss or preserved foliage wall may be right for your needs, we can design and install those too.
