Moss and Preserved
Foliage Walls
What is a Moss or Preserved Foliage Wall?
Moss and preserved foliage walls are a great alternative to their living counterpart. These green beauties are not living, but they were once, making them 100% natural and a brilliant way of injecting biophilic design into spaces where living plants are unable to thrive.

Why choose a moss or preserved foliage wall?
01
They enhance your space, bringing it to life with natural beauty and texture.
03
Think outside the box, the circle, or indeed any shape. Moss walls can be made in any shape imaginable. Want a moss picture in the shape of your pet pooch? We can do that. Preserved and mossy walls aren’t demanding space-wise either, only protruding from walls by around 2-4 inches.
05
A preserved wall or picture requires extremely little maintenance. There is no need to water, feed, or trim it. Just give it a gentle dust every once in a while, or, even better, use a can of compressed air to waft clean.
07
Moss or preserved foliage walls have excellent acoustic benefits due to the sound-dampening texture of the material and the backing board, making them perfect for dressing open plan spaces throughout your home.
09
A preserved wall installation is instant, so you can start admiring its beauty straight away.
11
Moss and preserved foliage walls are 100% natural and contain 0% plastic, making them a more sustainable alternative to artificial walls.
02
You can have great fun being creative with textures and colours. The variety of moss and foliage available is vast, plus we can weave in other botanical artefacts like rocks or reclaimed wood, giving scope not just to create a wall but a one-of-a-kind piece of wall art.
04
Moss walls are completely natural, so they provide the mood-uplifting benefits of a living wall.
06
They don’t need sunlight, meaning they can be installed in any space too dark for live plants. Mossy walls don’t like direct sunlight, though.
08
Moss walls are a cost effective way of introducing nature-based design to your interior. They are generally cheaper to install and maintain than a living alternative.
10
Moss screens or pictures are portable and light-weight, making them easy to move around your home if you fancy a change.

How do we make the walls and pictures?
Our moss and foliage are preserved using a natural saline solution, which will ensure they retain their shape and form for years. We use three different varieties of moss: flat moss, bun moss, and reindeer moss. Our moss is supplied by sustainable farms that specifically grow moss for the commercial market. Due to the negative environmental impact, we do not harvest wild moss or foliage. When it comes to preserved foliage, the choice is even greater; our favorites to work with are eucalyptus, fox grass, hedera, papyrus, asparagus, and olive. Once preserved, we attach the moss to a backing board made from 100% natural fibre. We do not use plastic in any of our moss or foliage walls or pictures, making them completely biodegradable. Once we have made the base wall or picture, we can add neon lights, signage, or more natural elements such as rocks, bark, reclaimed wood, feathers, and dried seed pods. Creating a truly unique statement piece for your home space.
Once made, we will hand deliver moss pictures and offer a full installation service for moss or preserved foliage walls.

Inspiration

Classic
A mixed moss and preserved foliage picture. The popular mix of flat and bun mosses, creating texture and interest, is accented with small-leaved foliage. The natural colours and white wooden frame make this picture simple and elegant.

Mesmerising
A stunning picture with islands of reindeer moss surrounding a resin river, in an antique metallic frame.

Calming
With moss, there are no colour restrictions. This beautiful picture, framed in oak, is made purely from reindeer moss in a variety of greens and blues, creating a naturally uplifting and hip vibe.
